Presentation of the Faculty of Arts and Languages Library

The university library is a fundamental pillar supporting scientific research. Over the years, it has remained an institution that preserves intellectual heritage, whether in its traditional paper format or in digital form, adapting to the modern era.

The Faculty of Arts and Languages Library is relatively new and strives to mobilize all material and human resources to achieve its goals within the university. It aims to provide services that meet the expectations of faculty members and students by introducing its various departments, key functions, services, and activities for its users (professors, researchers, and students). Additionally, it showcases its diverse and rich documentary collection to facilitate research, minimizing time and effort as a service catering to various disciplines.

Library Evolution

The development of Médéa University has significantly impacted the transformations within the library. Initially established as a central library on 25/09/2000, it remained in this capacity until June 2010, when it was reorganized into specialized libraries for the university’s faculties. As a result, it became the Library of the Faculty of Arts, Languages, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Later, on 01/06/2016, it was officially designated as the Library of the Faculty of Arts and Languages.
