National Emigration Day

In commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of National Emigration Day, which commemorates the events of October 17, 1961, and in application of a decision by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who decreed in 2021 that a minute’s silence would be observed at 11:00 a.m. nationwide on October 17 each year, in memory of the souls of the martyrs of the massacres of October 17, 1961 in Paris, France.

A minute’s silence was observed at the headquarters of the University of Médéa.
