Professor Mohamed BOUDOUR University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene of Algiers (USTHB)
Plenary Conference Topic: Advancing large power Systems with
Renewable and intelligent technologies.
Biography:
Mohamed Boudour received the B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Algiers in 1991, 1994 and 2004, respectively. Since January 1994, he has been with the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene of Algiers (USTHB) as a teacher and researcher. He is founder of The Electrical & Industrial Systems Laboratory (LSEI) in 2007 and the head of the power systems team. He was awarded a Fulbright fellowship in the University of Washington, Seattle (USA) from 2005-2006. He is a visiting Professor in ESIGELEC, Rouen (France) since 2005, a member of the executive committee of ARELEC (Algerian CIGRE) and IEEE Senior Member since 2007 and the president of the IEEE PES Chapter-Algeria. His main interests are Power Systems Stability, Security assessment and Control using intelligent programming and Artificial Intelligence, integration impact of Renewables in large interconnected power systems and in smart grids and microgrids. He has chaired more than a hundred Bachelor projects and MSc Thesis and twenty PhD Thesis. He has published more than two hundred and fifty papers in famous proceedings journals and international conferences. He has published five books in Power systems Analysis, Electromechanical transients in power systems, Voltage stability assessment in large transmission systems, Security Assessment and reactive Compensation in distribution networks. He has been leading several industrial projects with the Algerian Electricity Company SONELGAZ since 2011. He has organized and chaired five International Conferences in Electrical Engineering (ICEE, ICSC, CAGRE) and several Seminars, Doctorials and Workshops. He was the Vice-Rector in charge of International Relations at USTHB and actually a member of Advisory Committee of the National Commissioner for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency CEREFE. Actually he has the position of the National Erasmus+ Office Coordinator.

Biography:
Prof. Aissa Chouder received the Ingénieur and agister in Electronics degrees from Ferhat Abbas University, Sétif, Algeria, in 1991 and 1999,respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2010. He is currently full Professor with the electrical engineering department, University Mohamed Boudiaf M’sila, Algeria and member of the Eletrcial Engeneering Laboratory (LGE). He has co-authored more than 150 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include, control of renewable energy systems, micro-grids and power electronics modeling
