Dean's MessageDear members of the university community :teachers, students, and administrative staff.
It is a pleasure to address you today as part of our ongoing efforts to advance the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and make it a beacon of knowledge and learning, in line with the transformations occurring in the higher education sector in Algeria, and in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The rapid technological development presents us with great challenges, requiring us to intensify our efforts to achieve full digitalization of all administrative and pedagogical processes, and to update academic programs to meet the demands of the times. This is aimed at providing high-quality academic training that positively benefits students, teachers, and the entire university community, and contributes more broadly to serving society.
Our faculty includes several academic departments through which we train students in a variety of disciplines. The Department of Psychology, Educational Sciences, and Orthophony offers Bachelor's degrees in Clinical Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, and Orthophony, and also enables students to pursue further studies in these fields at the Master’s level.

The Department of History and Archaeology provides Bachelor’s training in General History, with the possibility of further specialization at the Master’s level in areas such as the History of the National Movement and Resistance, in addition to other programs aligned with the requirements of scientific research in this field.
The Department of Information and Communication Sciences offers training in Bachelor’s programs in Media and Communication, with opportunities to pursue specialized Master’s programs in this vital field.
The Department of Sociology and Demography offers Bachelor’s training in General Sociology, in addition to Master’s programs such as Organization and Work, and Deviance and Crime. These programs enable students to gain in-depth knowledge that helps them analyze and understand various social phenomena. Every academic year, new degree offerings are proposed in response to emerging economic and social developments.
We are committed to strengthening scientific research within the faculty by supporting research projects that offer solutions to societal issues and by encouraging students to participate in scientific initiatives that enhance their academic and professional skills. We also aim to expand cooperation with national and international universities in order to exchange expertise and benefit from successful experiences, ultimately improving both academic training and scientific research.
In conclusion, I extend my sincere gratitude to all members of the university community for their continuous efforts, and I invite everyone to keep working in a spirit of cooperation and dedication to achieve our goals and elevate our faculty to higher levels of excellence and leadership.
