Pink October 2023 awareness campaign
As part of the awareness and education campaigns about the risks of breast cancer, the University of Médéa organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Day on October 17, 2023. This event was held in coordination with the Psychological Assistance Unit of the University of Médéa and the Preventive Medicine Unit of the Directorate of University Services. During this day, attendees were educated about the disease, its symptoms, treatment, and preventive measures as part of the “October Pink” campaign.
National Emigration Day
In commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of National Emigration Day, which commemorates the events of October 17, 1961, and in application of a decision by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who decreed in 2021 that a minute’s silence would be observed at 11:00 a.m. nationwide on October 17 each year, in memory of the souls of the martyrs of the massacres of October 17, 1961 in Paris, France. A minute’s silence was observed at the headquarters of the University of Médéa. Eternal glory and honor to our martyrs
