Definition of the Vice-Dean’s Office:

The Vice-Dean’s Office in charge of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Sciences is an administrative body under the authority of the Dean’s Office. It is responsible for managing and monitoring pedagogical affairs related to undergraduate and graduate training (first and second cycles).
It ensures the proper conduct of lectures, practical work, and tutorials, organizes examinations, and oversees students’ academic pathways from initial enrollment to graduation, in accordance with the regulations in force in the higher education sector.

The Vice-Dean’s Office for Pedagogy also ensures the implementation of approved academic programs, guarantees pedagogical coordination among departments, monitors compliance with the academic calendar, and proposes initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education at the Faculty of Sciences.

Duties of the Vice-Dean’s Office:

The Vice-Dean’s Office in charge of Pedagogy is responsible for the following duties:

  • Monitoring the organization of undergraduate and graduate programs (LMD system) and ensuring the proper implementation of approved curricula.

  • Coordinating pedagogical activities among the faculty’s departments and ensuring compliance with the annual academic calendar.

  • Supervising student registrations (initial enrollment, re-enrollment, transfers, issuance of certificates, and the handling of special academic cases).

  • Organizing examinations, supervising the proper conduct of assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Monitoring students’ academic results and validating pedagogical reports in coordination with department heads and relevant services.

  • Proposing the opening or closure of academic programs in coordination with academic departments and the Faculty Scientific Council.

  • Ensuring the smooth conduct of practical and tutorial sessions and verifying the availability of required pedagogical resources.

  • Monitoring teachers’ absences and pedagogical commitments in coordination with department heads.

  • Preparing periodic pedagogical reports and submitting them to the Dean and supervisory authorities.

  • Supervising the preparation and review of timetables and setting examination schedules and pedagogical obligations.

  • Receiving and addressing students’ concerns related to pedagogical matters in accordance with applicable regulations.

  • Ensuring the implementation of ministerial decisions and directives related to higher education and training
