Establishment of the Department
The Department of Commercial Sciences was established by Decree No. 78 of March 17, 2010, which defined the organizational structure of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, and Management Sciences at the University of Médéa.
Department’s Responsibilities
According to Article 56 of Executive Decree No. 03-279 of August 23, 2003, which defines the functions of universities and the rules governing their organization and operation (as amended and supplemented), the Head of Department is responsible for the pedagogical and administrative management of the department. He exercises hierarchical authority over the personnel under his supervision.

Scientific Committee Responsibilities
The Scientific Committee is responsible for:
✔️ Proposing the organization and content of academic programs.
✔️ Providing opinions on the distribution of pedagogical tasks.
✔️ Reviewing pedagogical and scientific work reports.
✔️ Proposing research programs.
✔️ Suggesting the opening, extension, or closure of postgraduate programs and determining the number of positions available.
✔️ Evaluating postgraduate research topics.
