Mission and Responsibilities

The Vice-Deanship for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and External Relations serves the faculty by assisting the Dean in fulfilling his duties. It operates under the supervision of the Vice-Dean and is structured into three main departments:

  1. Postgraduate Training Follow-up Department
  2. Research Activities Follow-up Department
  3. Cooperation and External Relations Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the organization of postgraduate thesis defenses and the reception of habilitation applications for the ranks of Professor and Associate lecturer (“A”).
  • Ensuring the smooth conduct of postgraduate entrance exams and proposing necessary measures for effective postgraduate training.
  • Monitoring and following up on scientific research activities.
  • Initiating partnerships and collaborations with various social and economic sectors.
  • Implementing programs for faculty training, skill enhancement, and knowledge renewal.
  • Supervising the Scientific Council of the Faculty and maintaining its archives.

Vice-Dean’s Duties:

  • Overseeing the development and submission of third-cycle training programs.
  • Supervising the organization of postgraduate entrance exams.
  • Ensuring the proper conduct of postgraduate training.
  • Monitoring the progress of research activities.
  • Initiating scientific cooperation with national and international universities.
  • Implementing faculty training and development programs.
  • Following up on the activities of the Faculty’s Scientific Council and managing its archives.
