Mission and Responsibilities
The Vice-Deanship for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and External Relations serves the faculty by assisting the Dean in fulfilling his duties. It operates under the supervision of the Vice-Dean and is structured into three main departments:
- Postgraduate Training Follow-up Department
- Research Activities Follow-up Department
- Cooperation and External Relations Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the organization of postgraduate thesis defenses and the reception of habilitation applications for the ranks of Professor and Associate lecturer (“A”).
- Ensuring the smooth conduct of postgraduate entrance exams and proposing necessary measures for effective postgraduate training.
- Monitoring and following up on scientific research activities.
- Initiating partnerships and collaborations with various social and economic sectors.
- Implementing programs for faculty training, skill enhancement, and knowledge renewal.
- Supervising the Scientific Council of the Faculty and maintaining its archives.
Vice-Dean’s Duties:
- Overseeing the development and submission of third-cycle training programs.
- Supervising the organization of postgraduate entrance exams.
- Ensuring the proper conduct of postgraduate training.
- Monitoring the progress of research activities.
- Initiating scientific cooperation with national and international universities.
- Implementing faculty training and development programs.
- Following up on the activities of the Faculty’s Scientific Council and managing its archives.
