About the Vice-Deanship

Following the upgrade of the University Center of Médéa to a university under Executive Decree No. 09-11 of January 4, 2009, and the adoption of the faculty system, the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commerce, and Management Sciences was established. Within it, the Vice-Deanship for Studies and Student Affairs was created. This role is central to the faculty, as it is responsible for the pedagogical management, coordination between departments, and ensuring compliance with the laws, regulations, and ministerial decisions governing academic affairs.

Missions of the Vice-Deanship

The main responsibilities of the Vice-Deanship for Pedagogy include:

• Coordinating between different departments and establishing an academic calendar.
• Ensuring the implementation of laws, regulations, and ministerial decisions.
• Overseeing pedagogical follow-up.
• Addressing the concerns of faculty members and students regarding academic matters.
• Listening to student issues and finding appropriate solutions.
• Supervising examinations and ensuring their smooth conduct.
• Coordinating between the faculty and the university’s directorate for undergraduate and graduate programs in pedagogical matters.
