The Scientific Council of the faculty is an advisory body that provides opinions and recommendations on all aspects of scientific research and education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The Scientific Council of the Faculty consists of:
- The President of the Scientific Council.
- The Dean of the faculty.
- The Deputy Deans of the faculty.
- Heads of Departments.
- Heads of Laboratories.
- The Library Director.
- Heads of the Scientific Councils of the departments.
- Representatives of Assistant Lecturers and Senior Lecturers (B) in Department.
- Representatives of Professors from the higher rank in the faculties.
The President of the Scientific Council of the faculty is elected from among the representatives of the professors of the highest rank for a term of three years, which can be renewed once by a decision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
According to Executive Decree No. 03-279 dated August 23, 2003, which defines the tasks of the university and the special rules for its organization and operation, and Decision No. 53 dated May 5, 2004, which specifies the working mechanisms of the scientific councils of faculties, the Scientific Council of the faculty operates according to an internal system adopted on March 8, 2011 (please refer to the faculty’s internal regulations).
