Meeting with foreign students
In accordance with the instructions given by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to allocate the day of November 14 to meet with foreign students in Algeria and listen to their concerns. The rector of the University of Medea, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, met with foreign students of the Yahia Fares University of Medea, of different nationalities, in the presence of Professor Othman Boukandakdji, vice-rector in charge of external relations, Mr. Abderrahman Mahfoud, director of university services , and Mr. Maai Youssef, in charge of communication.

Meeting of the Rector of the university with students holders of projects As part of the monitoring of students holders of projects, the rector of the university, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, the vice-rector of the university and the director of the incubator of the University of Medea, received the students with emerging projects who represented the University of Medea at the meeting that was held on Saturday, November 5, with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Mr. Minister of Knowledge Economy, start-ups and micro-enterprises. The Rector of the university stressed that all support and accompaniment are available to students holders of projects, and also confirmed that the university will provide them office accommodations to launch their projects. In turn, the students affirmed their availability to work and deploy their efforts to confirm their merit for the support provided to them in the program of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
University Center of Tipaza Ministerial visit
During the inauguration of the first complex of startups at the national level Saturday, at the University Center Morsli-Abdellah Tipasa, by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, and that of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Microenterprises, Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, accompanied by the Vice Rector of the University, Prof.. Ismain Kouadik, and Dr. Omar Haroun, Director of the University Incubator of Medea, supervised the participation of the delegation of startups. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, during his visit to the pavilion of the University of Medea, welcomed the distinguished participation of the Incubator of Medea, while the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Microenterprises stressed the availability of his ministry to organize events at the University of Medea. It should be noted that the incubator of the University of Medea was established last July, and has participated in the University Center of Tipasa with 8 projects, two of which have entered the market.

The second day saw a strong participation of students and faculty members, to whom we thank all for their moral support to this event.
Training workshops
Under the supervision of the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, the Faculty of Science organized a workshop on DEEP LEARNING with Professor Abdelghani Kabout, an expert in the field of DEEP LEARNING. The Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Hadidi Noureddine, oversaw the opening of the event. It should be noted that the workshop will last for 8 continuous hours.
Ouverture de l’année universitaire 2022~2023
Le secrétaire général de la Wilaya de Médéa, au nom du M. le Wali de Médéa, a supervisé aujourd’hui au nouveau pôle universitaire- OUAZRA, l’ouverture de l’année universitaire 2022- 2023. Le Recteur de l’université, le Professeur Djaafar Bouarouri, a ouvert la cérémonie avec un discours dans lequel il a souhaité la bienvenue à l’ensemble des présents et présenté les données statistiques relatives à la nouvelle année universitaire, remerciant tous ceux qui ont contribué à la réussite des différents processus pédagogiques et administratifs à l’occasion de la rentrée universitaire 2022-2023, soulignant la nécessité de poursuivre dans la même veine tout au long de l’année en cours. Le Recteur a également tenu à adresser ses vifs remerciements au M. le Wali pour ses efforts d’accompagnement en faveur de l’université, notamment en ce qui concerne la réalisation de l’ensemble des travaux du nouveau pôle universitaire. Pour sa part, le secrétaire général de la Wilaya a prononcé un discours au nom du M. le Wali, dans lequel il a souhaité la bienvenue aux étudiants, soulignant l’importance de l’université dans le développement de notre pays , considérant le nouveau pôle universitaire comme un grand acquis pour la Wilaya de Médéa. Ensuite, le Professeur Othman BOUKENDAKDJI a présenté la première leçon inaugurale de l’année académique, qui était intitulée “L’université est-elle responsable des générations futures ?”. La cérémonie s’est terminée par la remise de certificats aux enseignants ayant obtenu le grade de professeur.
Visit of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Abdelbaki Benzian, accompanied by the Wali of Medea, Mr. Djahid Mouss, have supervised the inauguration of the university pole – OUAZRA – 6000 pedagogical seats. The delegation began the visit by the two faculties (the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Technology) and its annexes, before visiting the new university residence. In the large conference room, the Rector of the university welcomed the ministerial delegation, and thanked the minister and the Wali for all the efforts made to complete the project – university pole -OUAZRA – within the established time. During his speech Mr.Minister Abdelbaki Benzian thanked in turn the Wali of Medea and the Rector of the university on the efforts made to achieve the academic year, and stressed the need to ensure all appropriate conditions for teachers and students to start the academic year in normal circumstances, expressing his satisfaction with the many achievements made to the benefit of the University of Medea. Thereafter ,he distributed a quota of 50 staff housing to teachers of the University. The visit concluded with a meeting chaired by the Minister with the executives of the university and the direction of university services , on the preparations for the launch of the academic year 2022-2023.
