Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program 2026-2027
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research informs Algerian teacher-researchers, holding a doctorate or an equivalent degree and residing in Algeria, of the opening of the call for applications for the Fulbright Visiting Scholars Program for the 2025–2026 academic year. This program, lasting from 3 to 6 months, offers selected candidates the opportunity to conduct research or teach at higher education institutions in the United States. Applicants are invited to submit a research proposal that is theoretically sound, clear, and feasible. Particular attention will be given to projects demonstrating a strong commitment to intercultural understanding and academic exchange. All applicants must currently be affiliated with a university or research institution in Algeria. As part of the cooperation program with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a specialized training offer has been presented in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) — specifically targeting IT architects. The program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of technical staff and engineers to improve their job performance. This training will be held in Japan from August 20 to December 20, 2025. For this purpose, we kindly invite all interested individuals to submit their application. Applicants must meet the following required qualifications: 1. Essential Qualifications:Current Position: The applicant must hold a position in the field of IT systems development and architecture.Professional Experience: At least two (02) years of experience as an IT architect, systems analyst, or application specialist. Experience in application systems development is preferred.Education: A university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate).Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English, equivalent to a TOEFL iBT score of 79 or higher. The applicant will be required to deliver presentations and develop an action plan in English.
