
Like other universities across the country, the University of Medea celebrated the end of the 2024/2025 academic year in a festive atmosphere, highlighted by the honoring of outstanding students and dedicated researchers. The event served as an opportunity to acknowledge the efforts made by all members of the academic community throughout the year.
On behalf of the Wali of Medea, the Director of Regulations and General Affairs , accompanied by local authorities and the university community, presided over the closing ceremony. In his address, he emphasized the vital role of the university in training skilled youth and supporting local development, reaffirming the state’s commitment to supporting the university in fulfilling its educational and scientific mission.
For his part, the Rector of the University of Medea, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, expressed his satisfaction with the academic year’s results, noting significant progress in education, scientific research, and university governance. He also reaffirmed the university’s alignment with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which focuses on enhancing quality, promoting digitalization, and fostering a spirit of initiative and innovation among students.
The ceremony concluded with awards presented to top-performing students across faculties, as well as recognition of faculty members and researchers who distinguished themselves in their fields.
The event ended on a hopeful and optimistic note for an even brighter academic year ahead, reinforcing the position of Algerian universities as hubs of knowledge and scientific excellence, with students placed at the heart of every reform and development initiative.
