69th anniversary of the Day of the Algerian Student, May 19 1956, under the slogan “Day of recognition on the path of loyalty and construction”.
Mr. Djilali Doumi, Wali of the wilaya of Medea, accompanied by the Rector of the University of Medea, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, as well as the President of the People’s Assembly of the Wilaya, presided over the official ceremony to celebrate the Day of the Student, corresponding to May 19 2025, in the presence of members of the security commission, the Chief of the Daïra of Medea, the Wilaya Secretary of the National Organization of the Moudjahidine of the Wilaya of Medea, members of the revolutionary family, representatives of moudjahidine and chouhada organizations, as well as vice-rectors, deans of faculties, representatives of members of the Conseil Supérieur de la Jeunesse, teachers and students. The activities of this historic event, which carries great symbolic significance and constitutes a luminous page in the history of our valiant homeland, began at the memorial located at the headquarters of the Faculty of Letters and Languages, where the national flag was hoisted, the national anthem intoned, a wreath of flowers laid and the Fatiha recited in homage to the souls of the valiant martyrs – may Allah grant them His mercy. The delegation then moved on to the Mohamed Bencheneb amphitheatre, where the wali awarded honorary distinctions to a number of students who had taken first place nationally.
