Meeting of knowledge
Under the supervision of the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized the 2nd “meeting of knowledge”, in the presence of Professor Mohamed Lahcen Zeghidi, coordinator of the National Committee for Memory and History. The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Mohamed Amour, who gave a welcome speech, before giving the floor to Professor. Zeghidi, who emphasized in his speech that memory is values, it is existence, and it is history, and researchers agree that man is a historical being, and memory works to reform the individual and society to maintain the unity of the nation, its cohesion and its independence. Professor Zeghidi also answered questions from students and teachers present in the room, At the end of the meeting, an honorary tribute was given to the guest of the university.
National Day of CHAHID on February 18
Under the supervision of the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, the University of Medea organized a symposium to commemorate the National Day of CHAHID, which coincides with February 18 of each year. The guests of the university, as well as students and staff of the university, listened to a speech delivered by the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty and the Rector of the university, who emphasized the importance of this historical event for the university. The historian Mohamed Abbas and Professor Elghali Elguerbi gave a lecture that enriched the cultural and historical knowledge of the audience. At the end of the conference, the organizers have given honors and souvenirs of the occasion.
The competition of the Doctorate
Under the supervision of the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, and in the presence of the administrative staff of the faculties and the university, the competition of the Doctorate was launched on February 04 in three faculties simultaneously: the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Sciences. All the conditions are met for the smooth running of this national competition.
Visit of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises.
On January 31, 2023, the large conference room hosted a meeting with the university community and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamel Baddari, accompanied by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, in the presence of the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, the Secretary General of the Wilaya and the President of the People’s Assembly of the Wilaya . After the welcome speeches, the two ministers have emphasized, during their intervention, the close collaboration and complementarity between the two sectors in the field of the creation of enterprises by the students. The meeting concluded with a series of honors for entreprises that have obtained a Start-up label from the national committee of labeling of Start-ups. Symbolic gifts were also given by the rector of the university, the secretary general of the Wilaya and the president of the A.P.W to the two ministers.

Competition for access to the 3rd cycle PhD academic year 2022/2023. The Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, accompanied by the Vice-Rector in charge of 3rd cycle, Professor Alaidi Mammar, and university executives, supervised Saturday, January 28, 2023, the launch of the Competition for Access to the 3rd cycle training for the award of the doctorate degree under the academic year 2022-2023. The Rector visited the three centers, and supervised the process of opening the envelopes of the first examination at the Faculty of Technology. The Director also expressed his best wishes to the candidates for success in this national competition.
The periodic scientific meetings
As part of the periodic scientific meetings organized by the University of Medea, Mr. Djahid Mouss, the Wali of Medea, accompanied by the President of the Popular Assembly of the Wilaya, Mustapha Tanni, and the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, received, Thursday 26/01/2023 at the University of Medea, his Eminence Dr. Bouabdellah Ghlamallah, President of the Supreme Islamic Council, The guest of honor of the “Meeting of Knowledge” was accompanied by Dr. Samia Guetouche, member of the Council, Dr. Kamel Bouzidi, member of the Council, Mr. Abdellah Magchouche, advisor to the President of the Council, and Dr. Mohamed Bagdad, Director of Documentation and Media of the Council. During his intervention at the “Knowledge Meeting”, Dr. Bouabdellah Ghlamallah shared his valuable experience with the participants. The meeting ended with a symbolic tribute to his Eminence, with a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
Reception in honor of Dr. MEKKI Yahia Abdelmoumen
The Rector of the University, Professor BOUAROURI Djaafar , received, yesterday, Dr. Mekki Yahia Abdelmoumen, who is among the best competences of Algeria abroad, as Dr. MEKKI is considered one of the eminent scientific personalities who have been strongly present during the Covid-19 period as a specialist in epidemiology. His visit to the country is part of a scientific mission in Algerian hospitals. It should be noted that Professor OMOUNA Mustapha, Head of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Science, attended the reception.
