Under the supervision of the Rector of the University, Professor Djaafar Bouarouri, the University of Medea organized a symposium to commemorate the National Day of CHAHID, which coincides with February 18 of each year.
The guests of the university, as well as students and staff of the university, listened to a speech delivered by the Dean of  Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty  and the Rector of the university, who emphasized the importance of this historical event for the university.
The historian Mohamed Abbas and Professor Elghali Elguerbi gave a lecture that enriched the cultural and historical knowledge of the audience.
At the end of the conference, the organizers have given honors and souvenirs of the occasion.
