The University of Medea informs all students concerned by the academic year freeze (academic leave) that the period for submitting freeze requests for the 2025/2026 academic year is set from November 15, 2025, to November 30, 2025, and that requests must be submitted exclusively via the Student Space.
In accordance with Articles 20, 21, 22, and 23 of Decree No. 1165 of October 4, 2025, establishing the terms and conditions for enrollment and re-enrollment in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, as well as the terms and conditions for organization, evaluation, and progression, it is specified that:
- Students may be granted academic leave for exceptional reasons, such as:
- chronic disabling illness,
- maternity leave,
- national service,
- force majeure.
Academic leave is granted for a single academic year during the course of study.
The maximum duration of academic leave is one year, renewable once during the student’s course of study, except in cases of force majeure as assessed by the relevant academic departments.
At the end of the academic leave period, the student may request reintegration from the establishment’s educational services.
