Freezing of the 2025/2026 academic year

The University of Medea informs all students concerned by the academic year freeze (academic leave) that the period for submitting freeze requests for the 2025/2026 academic year is set from November 15, 2025, to November 30, 2025, and that requests must be submitted exclusively via the Student Space. In accordance with Articles 20, 21, 22, and 23 of Decree No. 1165 of October 4, 2025, establishing the terms and conditions for enrollment and re-enrollment in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, as well as the terms and conditions for organization, evaluation, and progression, it is specified that: Students may be granted academic leave for exceptional reasons, such as: chronic disabling illness, maternity leave, national service, force majeure. Academic leave is granted for a single academic year during the course of study. The maximum duration of academic leave is one year, renewable once during the student’s course of study, except in cases of force majeure as assessed by the relevant academic departments. At the end of the academic leave period, the student may request reintegration from the establishment’s educational services. Re-registration and online payment schedule for the 2025–2026 academic year

In preparation for the 2025–2026 academic year, the university administration would like to inform all students concerned that the following schedule has been approved for re-registration and online payment: Monday, June 23, 2025 Start of the pedagogical re-enrollment process for the 2025–2026 academic year, via the PROGRES integrated information system, for all returning students who have completed the current academic year. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 The payment process for registration fees, accommodation, and university transportation for the 2025–2026 academic year will begin. Payments will be made exclusively via electronic payment using a gold payment card “Edahabia”. Important note: Payment by postal order is no longer accepted. Monday, July 28, 2025 All student accounts on the PROGRES information system will be deactivated in preparation for the start of the new academic year’s teaching and administrative processes. The university administration emphasizes the need to adhere to the specified calendar and calls on all students concerned to respect the deadlines and procedures set to ensure the smooth running of the process. The program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of technical staff and engineers to improve their job performance. This training will be held in Japan from August 20 to December 20, 2025. For this purpose, we kindly invite all interested individuals to submit their application. Applicants must meet the following required qualifications:  1. Essential Qualifications:Current Position: The applicant must hold a position in the field of IT systems development and architecture.Professional Experience: At least two (02) years of experience as an IT architect, systems analyst, or application specialist. Experience in application systems development is preferred.Education: A university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate).Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English, equivalent to a TOEFL iBT score of 79 or higher. As part of the official launch of postgraduate training (Doctorat) for the 2024-2025 academic year, I have the honor of informing you, on the basis of correspondence from the Director of Doctoral Training and the Conférence Régionale of Universities of the Centre, that the official opening of this training will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The University of Médéa is honored to organize this academic event, and invites you to attend and participate in its activities, in view of its major importance in the course of higher education and scientific research. We would also like to inform you that the official national launch will take place under the supervision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, from the University of Boumerdès, and that his opening speech will be broadcast by videoconference. The ceremony will be held in the large “Hadj Hamdi Arselan” conference hall at the Yahia Fares University Pole – Medea, according to the program attached to this letter. European Commission call for proposals for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie program (MSCA)  La Commission européenne annonce l’ouverture d’un nouvel appel à propositions pour les réseaux doctoraux dans le cadre des Actions Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA). Cet appel est doté d’un budget de 608,6 millions d’euros de financements qui seront octroyés aux consortiums d’organisations retenues et déboursés au titre du programme-cadre européen pour la recherche et l’innovation « Horizon Europe ». Ces financements permettront aux bénéficiaires de recruter et de former des candidats au doctorat et de soutenir la coopération interdisciplinaire, internationale et intersectorielle. Le programme comprend des incitations spécifiques pour développer des doctorats conjoints, qui se matérialiseront par des programmes de formation intégrés, en synergie avec les objectifs du plan d’action pour un diplôme européen, ainsi que la mise en place des doctorats industriels, afin de permettre aux chercheurs de développer leurs compétences en dehors du monde universitaire, par exemple dans l’industrie ou dans les entreprises. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is launching a call for applications for the selection of the (03) best works of doctoral students who will be rewarded during the ceremony planned on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of student from May 19, 2024. The selection process should be carried out in accordance with the following guidelines: 1. Eligibility criteria: The competition is open to doctoral students: Doctoral students working on a PhD theme within one of the 3 national strategic axes: Energy Security, Food Security and Citizen Health Doctoral students regularly registered for the 2023-2024 academic year; Doctoral students who have not yet defended their theses by April 18, 2024 (closing date for applications), Doctoral students with at least one SCOPUS B rank publication. 2. Selection Process:   Successive selections at the local level (3/establishment), regional (3/region) then national (first 3 among the 09 selected).   Evaluation of files by a commission established within each establishment composed of the VRPG/DAPG and the VDPG/head of department (see appendix no. 1 “Selection grid”)  Ranking based on the equivalent annual score. Candidate files are evaluated by calculating the scores obtained by doctoral students (total points) and are divided by the number of years of registration to obtain the equivalent annual score. The ranking of candidates in descending order based on the calculation of the annual equivalent score. In the event of a tie, the result of the evaluation of the publications will be taken into account. 3. Pre-established schedule; The call for applications is open from Sunday April 7 to Thursday April 18, 2024 (see appendix no. 2 “Timetable”).
